Kudi

this one is from Banyuwangi. People in Banyuwangi called this "pegama" because kudi has many functions such as cut stems, hunt wild animals and display traditional weapons. kudi consists of 4 parts. the tip, karah, middle and handle. one of them has diffrent meaning. the tip has egalitarians value, middle has meaning that human must work to get a beautiful life, karah has meaning don't judge  book by its cover and handle has meaning that people in Banyuwangi must have strong faith in their life.






 In Banyuwangi, kudi divided into 3. first, regular kudi. it often used to daily activities. length is 40 cm and width is 12cm. second, melem kundi, the tip like melem fish. length is 30cm and width is 10cm. this is used to make a fence. last, stickle kundi, this is used to cut wood. length is 35 cm and width is 10 cm.
